FiberBroadband-based FTTH/O infrastructures empower truly future-proof systems, meaning that these FTTH/O systems have virtually unlimited capacities and are able to deliver speeds of 1-10 Gbps per connection. Systems based on iUHBA's Fiberbroadband Strategy, however, can even be upgraded to capacities of 40 Gigabits per second to each subscriber (home and office). It is important to understand that infrastructures based on Passive Optical Network (PON) technologies are not capable of offering the same services as listed below. Furthermore, iUHBA’s speeds are bidirectional: download as well as upload at 10 Gbps.

Below is a Top Ten listing of newly introduced or improved services that will be available to iUHBA's FTTH/O subscribers:

  1. Internet access at 10 Gigabit per second (10 Gbps): iUHBA’s FTTH/O subscribers will receive 10 Gbps Internet Access and Data transfer services;

  2. Virtual-DVD, Digital Television (DTV) and Utra-High-Definition Television (uHDTV): Satellite and Cable operators offer digital services, but their capability to deliver true High-Definition channels and interactive services is severely limited. iUHBA will build True-HDTV head-end centers and partner with TV networks to deliver hundreds of Digital TV and Ultra-High-Definition Television channels to subscribers. iUHBA subscribers can furthermore download the latest Hollywood movies to their advanced Set-Top-Box (iUHBA's iMPC- Interactive Multimedia Personal Communicator). The download of a 5 Gigabyte DVD-quality movie will take less than 1 minute with iUHBA's 1 Gbps service, and less that 10 seconds with the 10 Gbps service. It would take 10 minutes at 100 Mbps, 1.5 hours at 10 Mbps, 4.5 hours at 4 Mbps, and more than 9 hours at 2 Mbps;

  3. Digital Radio: iUHBA will offer thousands of local, national and international digital radio channels;

  4. Digital Telephony: Make crystal clear phone calls. Because telephone calls will be over fiber-optic wires the quality of service will be much better than today's copper-wire based telephone service or Cable-telephony;

  5. Video chat/Videophone: FTTH/O users can communicate in full-motion, full-screen video (with the use of, for example, a high-quality webcam provided by iUHBA) and not be interrupted and annoyed by frame-by-frame buffering of the images, which causes skipping of seconds or even minutes during transmission;

  6. On Demand services: Video-On-Demand enables subscribers to search and select videos; Programs-On-Demand will enable searching and selecting (or repeat) missed programs at micro-payments. iUHBA’s Entertainment-on-Demand service will do the same with cartoons, music and video clips etc. A large chunk of almost 60 years of TV programming, movies and music will become available (through iUHBA’s national and international content and TV network partners);

  7. Interactive services: Information, data, opportunities will become available on demand simultaneously when a program or commercial plays;

  8. Interactive marketing: One click or two clicks on a button and the subscriber can arrange a test drive with the local car dealer; request a brochure of a banking service, or a sample of detergent. The subscriber’s data is safely stored at iUHBA’s data centers, and when they click “yes” or select a certain option, the data will be shared with the company’s content and marketing partners, always secure and with the subscriber’s permission and knowledge;

  9. Home TV and Video Productions: Subscribers can upload their home-video or daily video journal to their personal uhbtube.com (pronounced “oohb-tyoob”) homepage, and make it available to the rest of the world, something like ustream.tv, but then in Ultra-HDTV quality. People with high-speed connections can download it or watch the video streaming in full-motion. People with a FTTH/O connection can watch the video in full-motion, in real-time, in full-screen format;

  10. Online Gaming: Multi-Player Online Gaming becomes more attractive and more real-time than ever before. Players can be anywhere on iUHBA's and other FTTH networks and play in real-time, as if they are in the same room.
